Just Waiting for Mom's Call this Holiday

Women Of Worth is raising funds to help at least 400 women this Holiday Season. We will give them the opportunity to make a call to their families, bringing joy to both. Hearing the voice of someone you love fills you with the hope that there is someone and a life waiting out there for you. Being incarcerated during the holidays is the hardest time to do. Most women who work in prison are paid less than 16 cents per hour. There is so little to go around. This barely covers the basics even though talking to your family should be one of those necessities. Sadly, these women often can’t spare the $3.15 for a phone call! People don’t realize that the mother has to make the call, her family cannot call her. These women are faced with the harsh reality of choosing between overpriced feminine hygiene products or speaking to their loved ones.
